PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive photomicrographic device capable of easily executing photographing with appropriate exposure. SOLUTION: In this device, the exposure time in photographing is decided based on photometric output from a photometric sensor 12 to which the observed image of a sample 1 is projected, and a reticle 6 having plural indexes 61, 62 and 63 consisting of concentric circle group whose diameter's value is obtained by multiplying the diameter of a reference photometric area 61 by 1/2n (n: real number) with respect to the center of the area 61 equivalent to the light receiving surface of the sensor 12 so that they may be synthesized with the observed image and displayed in observation field is arranged at a position conjugate to the sensor 12. The indexes 61, 62 and 63 of the reticle 6 are set in accordance with the size of an object photographing part, whereby the exposure correction stage of an exposure arithmetic operation part 13 is decided to correct the exposure time.
