摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which improves a rate of communication success by setting a reception level set value higher than a holding level, selecting and switching/connecting to an appropriate base station by open search when the reception level is lower than the reception level set value at the time of mode switching. SOLUTION: A PHS terminal 3 is provided with a data communication level set value in addition to a selection level set value and a holding level set value and each set value is set in the following relation; the selection level set value> the data communication level set value>the holding level set value. When the PHS terminal 3 switches call mode/data communication mode and performs data communication, the open search is performed at the reception level higher than the holding level. When a base station 1 is higher than a base station 2 in the reception level within a range of B, switching from the base station 1 to the base station 2 is performed to connect to the base station 2. Since it is possible to secure stable use in a wide range up to a range of C, a rate of data communication success is also high.
