PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, provide an automated tool-charging system with a superior working efficiency, at the same time, to activate a battery, and to increase the reliability of the capacity information of the battery. SOLUTION: A battery 6 is incorporated into an automated tool 2, and the automated tool 2 is set to a charger 1 for charging. In the charger 1, a microcomputer 19 is incorporated in addition to a charging circuit, and a discharging circuit consisting of a refresh button 25, a charging relay 23, and a discharging resistor 24 is provided. The microcomputer 19 causes the battery 6 of the automated tool 2 to be charged and discharged twice through the operation of the refresh button 25. At this time, a second controller 9 in the automated tool rewrites data regarding the remaining capacity of the battery 6 which is stored therein.
