PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the gateway system where terminals under the control of each gateway can make communication with each other. SOLUTION: Each gateway G stores terminal information under its control, and manages under which gateway each terminal is controlled, inquires of other gateway G about under which gateway G terminal of a connection destination is controlled at present, checks whether or not a concerned terminal is registered under its control depending on an inquiry from the other gateway G and replies the request source gateway with attachment of terminal information when registered, then terminals under different gateways can make communication with each other.
