The coupling comprises a sleeve (5) with radial holes (13) and an arresting device (6) which is guided in the sleeve in an axially displaceable manner. The arresting device includes a ring (17) having axially extending and elastically flexible retaining arms with a hook (20) formed at their free ends for engaging behind the retaining rib of the fluid pipeline, which is inserted axially into the arresting device. At the free end of each hook there is a radially outer inclined face (21), so that when the sleeve and arresting device are moved apart, e.g. due to build up of pressure the hook remains in a firmer engagement with the retaining rib.
