Apparatus and method for sealing the passageway between two conduits in an injection molding apparatus, including two abutting conduits (42, 50) for transporting molten plastic under pressure having an interface (54) between the abutting conduits, and a device for sealing the interface between the two abutting conduits operative to create an angular sealing force upon the interface.
