PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a level compression characteristic in the case of band- dividing an audio signal and level-compressing it. SOLUTION: This audio processing unit is provided with gain control amplifiers 51-53 in which audio signals band-divided from an input audio signal are respectively supplied, a level detection circuit 8A that respectively detects the level of the audio signals band-divided, a control signal forming circuit 8C that respectively forms gain control signals for the gain control amplifiers 51-53 according to a detection signal from the level detection circuit 8A and circuits 8B, 8E, 8H-8K that form a correction signal as to division bands adjacent to the division band corresponding to the detection signal. Each gain instructed by each control signal for the control signal forming circuit 8C is corresponding respectively by the correction signal. |
