Monitoring arrangement for electrical components, e.g. in inductive heater: measures voltages across components, processes values and displays condition

The arrangement continuously measures and compares voltages across two components, using different time-constants. One limb has a negating inverter. Values are processed and evaluated, comparing the measured values. When the comparison has the result that the deviation is greater than the threshold value, a signal is displayed. An Independent claim is included for a method for using the device.
