The dispenser (1) has a square-shaped top and bottom (4) and is of an overall pyramidal shape. A horizontal partition (7) with a funnel-shaped inlet (8) leading to a vertical dispensing duct (9) is positioned inside the container (2). A sliding element (11) covers the outlet (10), located at the bottom (4) of the device. A spring (12) causes the element (11) to return into this position when it has been pulled in order to release a measured quantity of sugar.
