A maintenance and inspection computer (11) is connected to a controller (2) and control desk computer (8) and receives the signals from drives (3-5) and sensors (6,7) via the controller. The maintenance and inspection computer determines from these signals the state of consumables, the loading and wear of machine components, and the timing of maintenance servicing.
