The chair consists of the first seat area (10), an area first used a back part (12), a pair of longer back legs (18), a pair of shorter back legs (16), a pair of long front legs (30), three round bars (14,24,26), used as horizontal swivel axles and a locking unit (20,22). The shorter pair of back legs (16) can be moved towards the longer pair (18), causing the former back part (12) to rise into a horizontal position, facilitating a semi-standing position of the user, e.g. suitable for working at an architect's drawing board. The seating and the semi-standing position are secured with the locking unit (20,22).
