Glass lined molds are silanized by polymerization of a composition containing a silanization agent in the mold. A process for the silanization of molds having a glass inner surface comprises: (A) pouring a polymerizable mass that contains a silanization agent into the mold; (B) polymerization of the mass to form a molded article; (C) removal of the article. An Independent claim is included for the resulting molded article.
