<p>A track apparatus (10) is provided for mounting on a rotatable axle (13) of a vehicle (17). The track apparatus (10) includes a flexible track (15) having an upper length and a ground-engaging lower length. A drive wheel (12) is mountable to the rotatable axle (13) so as to drive the flexible track (15) in response to rotation of the axle (13). Leading and trailing idler assemblies (276 and 360) are attached to the frame (274). Each idler assembly (276 and 360) includes a non-pneumatic idler wheel (306) having a plurality of voids (314) therein. In addition, a bogie assembly (380) is also supported by the frame (274). The bogie assembly (380) includes a non-pneumatic bogie wheel (388 and 390) having a plurality of voids (418) therein. The idler wheels (306) and the bogie wheels (388 and 390) have increased dimensional reliability and provide shock absorption and self-cleaning features to the track apparatus (10).</p> |
