Blood albumin being reduced below 55%, erythrocyte SH-group being below 2.4 units, blood glutathione being below 22 mg%, lactate dehydrogenase in erythrocytes being higher than 4.9 103 Wroblewski units and malonic aldehyde in blood being higher than 25 nm/ml, hepatocellular insufficiency is predicted to be in progress when no manifestations of injured liver is observed.
