The method involves measuring physical parameters at the same times on different elements or units with the same or similar characteristics and/or at different times for identical elements or units. The differences between the physical parameters are determined and conclusions drawn about changes from the differences. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for continuously monitoring any type of element or unit for changes.
