VORTEX PILOT GAS HEATER

A vortex heater (212) to transfer a vortex flow's heat flux to a separate gas flow (268) in a system including a vortex tube (212) having a finned slender tube (213) plugged at a far end of the vortex tube. The fins (214) are attached to an outer side of the slender tube and a shell (216) thus forming an outer wall of a heat exchanger. The vortex tube's inlet (262) directs gas to a vortex tube's nozzles with a source of compressed gas (250) and then discharges the gas flow through a vortex tube's diaphragm (217). This provides for the gas flow to undergo an energy separation in the vortex tube. A separate gas flow (268) is connected with a heat exchanger inlet (224), with the heat exchanger then discharging this separate gas flow from a heat exchanger outlet, thus providing for the vortex flow to cool down and for the heat exchanger's flow to heat up.
