FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: bracket and cover of antitheft device are made in form of solid member which has the shape of cup with longitudinal cutouts of walls forming upper and lower guides. Longitudinal through slot is made in lower guide 3. Lock mechanism is made in form of replaceable bracelet provided with eyes. Bracelet can be made with thickened parts. Support eye and protective frame 6 to suit the form of lock are secured from outer side of lower guide. Frame 6 has slot for key and locking member. Distance between base of lower guide and support eye is defined by width (thickness) of steering wheel spoke. Lock of antitheft device can be made detachable. It can be rigidly secured on support eye. When antitheft device is set in operating position, slot for key in lock is pointed to side of steering column lower part. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability of antitheft device, simplified design of device. 7 cl, 3 dwg
