LOW-PRESSURE TRIGGERING MECHANISM

The present invention provides a hydraulic mechanism which both multiplies the actuation force collected from the external actuation medium and provides a buffering function to prevent inadvertent actuation caused by shock, vibration, and other transient forces. The present invention also provides a pressure relief system in the differential chamber behind the flexible diaphragm to prevent excessive pressurization of the chamber, which might otherwise impede the movement of the diaphragm. The present invention thus presents a triggering mechanism capable of actuation in a low-pressure medium without undue sensitivity to inadvertent actuation due to shock, vibration, or other transient forces.
