The radio receiver has a control device (6) for controlling an audio amplifier (3) and for analyzing the additional signals contained in the radio signal. The control device monitors at least one additional signal identifying the transmitter, while receiving a transmission. When this signal changes, the control device influences the signal fed to the audio amplifier (3) e.g. by suppressing the signal, or replacing it with a noise signal.
