The soft masses (4) such as mortar, plaster, sealants and similar are delivered by a pump (14) and suction intake pipe (13) and delivery hose (8) to a spray gun (5) where they are sprayed by compressed air. During a break in the work process the suction pipe, delivery pipe and pump are cleaned by sending elastic foam balls (17) through the pipes. The foam balls are taken up by the suction intake pipe and pressed through the delivery pipe by excess pressure.
