<p>In a bag made from a sheet or tube of a plastic such as polyethylene polyvinyl chloride or polypropylene or of a cellulose material, the upper edge is made into a hem into holes in which are placed the ends of a stirrup forming a handle. This is fixed in place by a shaft which passes into the hem from the end and has the same length as the width of the bag. This produces a more attractive assembly than conventional welded or rivetted fixings.</p> |
