The invention relates to a display module alignment device (320) for securing and aligning a display module (100) in a tiled modular display system. To facilitate the alignment and the replacement of individual display modules without disturbing the alignment of the other display modules, said display module alignment device comprises an outer retainer (1720); an inner retainer (1710) contained within the outer retainer (1720), the inner retainer (1710) being attached to the post (1610) that is fixed to the corresponding display module (100); vertical and horizontal screw adjuster assemblies (1730, 1740) which are capable of providing a force on the inner retainer (1710) in the vertical and horizontal directions; and a spring (1745) for providing a biasing force on the inner retainer (1710) in directions opposite to the forces generated by the screw adjuster (1730, 1740).
