A snorkel has a mouthpiece (8) connected to a rigid breathing tube member (2). A second rigid member (10) of similar dimensions to the breathing tube member is also connected to the mouthpiece (8) and extends substantially parallel to the breathing tube member so that both rigid members grip respective sides of the user's head and face in use. A flexible strap (32) may be attached to the members (2,10) so that it can be moved up and down them. The strap (32) sits on the user's head in use and can be used to allow the snorkel to hang round the user's neck when not in use. Preferably member (10) is a tube and the mouthpiece comprises a dam for preventing airflow between it and member (10). |
