PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf with internal environment conditioning functions wherein articles can be stored for a long period of time without deteriorating the quality thereof by adjusting the gas environment within a main body of the shelf. SOLUTION: In the shelf 1 having internal environment adjusting functions, discharge ports 8a in communication with the interior 2a of a main body 2 are provided at least on one side of the main body 2 for storing articles 18 to feed a gas into the ports 8a using a gas feed means 3. Buffer members 16, each of which is larger than the port 8a, are disposed between the articles 18 and the ports 8a. While air streams are generated in the interior 2a in the body 2 to uniformize temperatures and humidity being environmental elements in the interior 2a, the air streams to be discharged from the ports 8a are prevented from being directly applied on the articles 18.
