PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform an operator of the time phase of generation of the saturated state of an echo signal in real-time and to record it, using a Doppler method whereby changes in blood flow and tissue velocity information with time are displayed. SOLUTION: A Doppler ultrasonograph includes transmitting/receiving circuits 2, 3 transmitting ultrasonic beams via a probe 1 and receiving their echo signals, a Doppler mode processing circuit 12 whereby Doppler signals from, e.g. blood flow, are extracted from echo signals and subjected to a predetermined signal processing to compute blood flow velocity information from the Doppler signals subjected to the signal processing, and circuits 13, 14 for displaying the velocity information on a monitor 15. The Doppler ultrasonograph further includes a saturation detecting circuit 16 for detecting from the Doppler mode processing circuit 12 that the Doppler signals are saturated and circuits 17, 13 which, when the saturated state is detected, display the time phase of the saturated state on the monitor 15, together with the velocity information. |
