摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially advantageously obtain a metabolite biosynthesized through phosphoribosylpyrophosphoric acid on a metabolic route by deleting or reducing a transketolase activity of a bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium, etc. SOLUTION: A bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium, Brevibacterium and Escherichia deficient in transketolase activity or reduced in the activity in comparison with a parent strain [e.g. Corynebacterium glutamicum TKT6 strain (FERM BP-6399) or the like] is cultured in a medium and one or several metabolites selected from metabolites biosynthesized through a phosphoribosylpyrophosphoric acid on a metabolic route are formed and accumulated. The metabolite is collected to industrially advantageously obtain the objective metabolite. A nucleotide, a nucleoside, a nucleic acid base, flavin nucleotide, L-histidine, riboflavin, etc., can be obtained as the metabolite.
