PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an external facing plate for an automobile having an excellent heat resistance and a good appearance merely by coating an outer surface of a blow molded external facing plate molding for the automobile with a coating film without polishing or wet sanding the outer surface of the molding. SOLUTION: A parison 3 made of an amorphous resin having a tensile elastic modulus of 2,000 kg/cm2 at 75 deg.C or higher 13 disposed between opened molds 4 and 5 having surface roughnesses of cavities 4a, 5a of 0.9 to 9.0μm and a fine protrusion and recess surface of a mean interval between ridges of 10 to 150μm. Thereafter, a pressurized air is introduced into the parison 3 to bring the parison 3 into close contact with the cavity. Then, a surface temperature Y deg.C of the cavity is set to a range of Y=(0.96X+3) to (0.96X+40) in terms of a temperature X deg.C in which the modulus of the resin becomes 2,000 kg/cm2, and the parison 3 is brought into close contact with the cavity. An outer surface of an external facing plate molding 1 is directly coated with a coating film. |
