PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which gives film with a reduced extraction of an oligomer with good productive efficiency by composing the composition with a naphtnalenedicarboxylic acid as a main acid component and 1,3-propanediol as a main glycol component and adjusting the intrinsic viscosity and the oligomer extraction with CHCl3 to each a specific value. SOLUTION: This composition comprises an acid component composed mainly of a naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and desirably containing not more than 20 mole.% of a dicarboxylic acid component other than the naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and a glycol component composed mainly of 1,3-propanediol and desirably containing not more than 20 mol.%, based on all the glycol components, of a glycol component other than 1,3-propanediol, and its intrinsic viscosity is adjusted to 0.4-0.8 and further its oligomer extraction with CHCl3 is adjusted to 0.2 wt.% or less. A film prepared from this composition has preferably an oligomer extraction with CHCl3 of not exceeding 0.15 wt.%. |
