PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supplement a liquid to a liquid tank part of a head cartridge without mixing a foreign matter such as dust, etc., by driving by means of an operating means a liquid supplement means for supplementing the liquid to the liquid tank part of the head cartridge. SOLUTION: A head cartridge 12 is set to a cartridge hold part 45 and fixedly positioned by a fixing lever 58, and moreover ink supplement tanks 46 are set to a tank hold part 47. A tank connection needle is connected into the ink supplement tank 46. In this state, sliders 65 are fixed to a connection position and a driving signal is output to a paper feed motor of a printer via a connector 52, thereby driving the motor. A suction pump is driven via an input joint part 55 of an input part 54 to evacuate an ink tank part 17 and turn the interior of the ink tank part in a negative pressure state. The ink in the ink supplement tanks 46 is supplemented into the ink tank part 17 from ink supplement tubes. |
