PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet supporting member, in which the contact area of a clamp plate is widened and clamping operation is conducted from the top face of a mounting plate and which has excellent workability. SOLUTION: The supporting member for the faucet tool has a susceptor seat 5, which is installed onto the surface of a mounting hole section 3 formed to a mounting plate 2 and on which the base end section of a faucet is mounted, and a horseshoe-shaped clamp plate 6 being engaged with the susceptor seat 5, being brought into press-contact with the rear of the mounting plate and fixing the susceptor seat 5 onto the mounting plate 2. A clamping shaft set up to the susceptor seat 5 and a rotation preventive pin are drooped and inserted into the mounting hole 3, and a nut member, on which a projecting section is formed, is screwed onto the lower section of the clamping shaft while a notched section and a recessed section continued to the notched section and engaged with the projecting section are formed on the clamp plate 6 at that time.
