PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an instrument panel, capable of manufacturing an appearance design well and easily without forming an additional process of filling an opening formed at a skin layer. SOLUTION: An instrument panel 10 is formed so that skin 12 is disposed on the surface side of a base material 1, and a planned breaking part 21 which protrudingly-opens an airbag at the time of inflation is mounted on a part covering the airbag. The planned breaking part 21 involves a cutout part 22 which extends from the back side of the base material 11 to the barrier layer 15 of the skin. A skin layer 13 involves a plurality of holes 24 which can be broken when the planned breaking part is broken. After the skin layer 13 is extrudingly-molded, a foaming layer 14 is thermally-melted to the skin layer, and the barrier layer 15 is thermally-melted on the back side of the foaming layer to manufacture the outer skin 12. A hole 24 is formed after the foaming layer 15 is thermally-melted to the skin layer 13 and before the barrier layer 15 is thermally-melted. |
