PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the leakage of the fluid between a valve chamber of a four way switching valve and each outlets by mounting a seal packing between a side surface of a pressing sheet and an inner surface of a valve cover, and forming a V-shaped annular groove on an outer peripheral surface or an inner peripheral surface of a doughnut-shaped disc of the seal packing. SOLUTION: This four way switching valve 10 comprises a ball valve element 30 comprising the approximately L-shaped inlet path 31 and outlet path 32, and three outlets 2-4 are selectively communicated with an inlet formed on a valve case 12. On this occasion, two sets of paired spherical, seat-shaped packings 41, 42; 43, 44 are mounted in oppositely contact with the valve element 30 in the valve chamber 15, and a seal packing 50 is mounted between a pressing sheet 36 fixed to a left side surface opening of the valve chamber 15 by a screw 36a. The seal packing 50 is made of rubber, and a V-shaped annular groove is formed on a peripheral surface of a thin doughnut-shaped disc plate 51 on the inner and outer peripheral edges, whereby the sealability can be improved.
