PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon black suitable for vibration-proof rubbers, to provide a method for producing the carbon black, and to provide a rubber composition containing the carbon black and having low kinematic magnification, high attenuation and excellent vibration-proof performance. SOLUTION: This carbon black for vibration-proof rubbers has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface ratio (N2SA) of <=200 m2/g, and comprises 100 pts.wt. of carbon black and 1-10 pts.wt. of a fibrillated fluororesin wherein the carbon black is caught and bound in the fibrous net structure of the fibrillated fluororesin. The method for producing the carbon black comprises adding 1-10 pts.wt. of a fibrillative fluororesin to 100 pts.wt. of carbon black, kneading the mixture together with a kneading auxiliary to fibrillate the fluororesin, and subsequently removing the kneading auxiliary. The rubber composition for the vibration-proof rubbers comprises 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component and 20-80 pts.wt. of the carbon black.
