PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an epoxy resin composition for jigs and tools, useful for making resin-made molds for producing various kinds of jigs and parts which are required to have enough strength, having good workability and capable of raising dimensional accuracy, and to provide a high-strength epoxy resin-made molds formed by casting the same resin composition and curing it and capable of electrical discharge machining. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition for jigs and tools contains at least an epoxy resin, metal powder and carbon fibers. The carbon fibers have 0.1-10 mm fiber length, the content of epoxy resin is 14.9-39.9 wt.%, the content of metal powder is 60-85 wt.%, the content of carbon fibers is 0.1-10 wt.% and the viscosity of the resin composition is 5-200 Pa.s at 50 deg.C. It is possible to make epoxy resin-made molds capable of electrical discharge machining by blending the resin composition with an epoxy resin hardener and by casting the mixture, followed by curing it.
