PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber-reinforced composite material suitably employable as a structural material for an airplane in particular which not only has a high compression strength but also is excellent in resistance to heat and environment and in durability by providing a prepreg comprising a reinforcing fiber consisting of a single fiber having a substantially completely round cross section and a matrix resin excellent in adhering to the fiber. SOLUTION: The objective prepreg comprises a reinforcing fiber consisting of a single fiber having a substantially completely round cross section impregnated with an epoxy resin composition containing at least the following constituents [A], [B] and [C]: [A]: An epoxy resin composition containing at least 60 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the epoxy resin composition, of a tetraglycidylamine-based epoxy resin. [B]: A granular dicyanodiamide. [C]: A urea compound. The fiber-reinforced composite material is obtained by molding the prepreg.
