PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of scratch flaw on a rolled material with a repeater and a side looper by arranging conveying rollers for supporting the rolled material in the repeater or the repeater and the side looper in a bar and wire rod rolling equipment. SOLUTION: The conveying rollers 2 are arranged at six positions on the repeater floor 13 and the rolled material 1 is supported so as not to bring into contact with the repeater floor 13. Further, guide plates 3 are arranged between the conveying rollers 2. In this way, the tip part of the rolled material 1 is conveyed while being guided along the wall surfaces of the guide plates 3 and being transferred in order on each conveying roller 2 disposed between the guide plates 3. Therefore, the slippage between the rolled material 1 and the repeater floor 13 is eliminated, and since the rolled material is conveyed without sliding on the conveying rollers 2, the generation of the scratch flaw is remarkably reduced. Further, if necessary, the same conveying rollers are arranged to the side looper, too, and thus, the generation of the scratch flaw is further reduced.
