The motors (7, 9) which drive the road wheels (11, 13) are cooled by a liquid medium. The medium is pumped (17) through a thin-walled pipe (25) which is embedded in the double-walled floor panel of the vehicle (1). The floor panel, which rests on the chassis (3) of the vehicle, has metal upper and lower surfaces which sandwich a layer of insulation material. The pipe is embedded in the insulation in contact with the upper surface.
