<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the plate member of a friction engagement device, in which any medium is prevented from being clogged in a recessed part behind the joggle of a plate member when a barrel is polished. SOLUTION: In the plate member of a friction engagement device, as a joggle 402 is formed, a recessed part 403 to be formed in the back surface side of the joggle, is formed into a tapered shape where its opening end side is made wider than its bottom part side, and its tapered angle is set up to a range of 5 to 30 deg.. By this constitution, any medium can be prevented from being clogged in the recessed part 403 while a barrel is being polished, a process for removing clogged medium can thereby be eliminated, and thereby productivity and production costs can be prevented from being degraded and increased respectively.</p> |
