PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting erroneous wiring of air conditioner in which erroneous wiring can be detected and notified to a worker detected with high workability and reliability can be enhanced by protecting parts against damage. SOLUTION: When power is turned on after the connecting part TA of an indoor unit A is connected with the connecting part TB of an outdoor unit B, a compressor relay MR1 is turned on. Input current of the outdoor unit B is then detected by a current sensor CT. An input current deciding section 10a makes a decision whether an input current detected by the current sensor CT exceeds a specified level or not and if it exceeds the specified level, a decision is made that connection between the connecting part TA of the indoor unit A and the connecting part TB of the outdoor unit B is normal otherwise an abnormality notifying section 10b notifies erroneous wiring.
