摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locating mechanism which can set a shift lever in the neutral position certainly, does not generate any gap between each pressure pin and a shift lever housing, and prevents generation of collision sounds resulting from vibrations of the shift lever housing. SOLUTION: A locating mechanism comprises cylinders, pressure pins inserted and fitted capable of sliding in the longitudinal direction of cylinder, and a pair of pressing tools 10 and 20 which are installed in the cylinders and equipped with springs to energize the pins to cause their protrusion to the outside, wherein the pins 13 and 23 are abutted resiliently repulsive to the left and right parts of a shift lever housing 32 for supporting a shift lever 33 so as to set it 33 in the neutral position. One of the pressing tools 20 is configured so that the pressure pin 22 protrudes in a plurality of steps, and the pressure pin 22 of the pressing tool 20 is abutted to the shift lever housing 32 at all times so that no gap is generated between the pressure pin 22 and shift lever housing 32.
