PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot rest for vehicle, which can select among the service condition and out-of-service condition any as desired according to the taste of an occupant or the situation of their occupation. SOLUTION: A foot rest 1 for a vehicle is composed of a base board 2 whose undersurface constitutes a placing surface for a car room floor, a foot rest plate 3 which can rise and fall to the foot placing attitude and accommodation attitude on the oversurface of the board 2, and a support 4 to support the foot rest plate 3 in the foot-placing rising attitude with respect to the board 2. One end of the foot rest plate 3 is coupled with one end of the board 2 by a hinge structure, and the support 4 is coupled with the other end of the plate 3 by hinge structure. The support 4 is formed as folding to the rear surface of the plate 3, and the plate 3 is engaged with the board 2 in such an accommodation attitude as falling on the oversurface of the board 2.
