<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat in a small-scale tank without requiring expensive chemicals by implementing an anaerobic process in which nitrogen compounds in drainage are treated biologically under aerobic or anaerobic conditions, a nitrification process, a denitrification process, and an oxidation process in which organic substances are treated biologically in sequence. SOLUTION: Desulfurization drainage 11 is introduced into an anaerobic tank 1. The nitrate ions in the drainage 11 are reduced into nitrogen gas by denitrification bacteria, and simultaneously peroxosulfuric acid is reduced into sulfate ions. In a nitrification tank 3, ammonium ions are oxidized into nitrite ions by nitrite bacteria and nitrate bacteria and nitrified further into nitrate ions. The nitrite ions and the nitrate ions are reduced biologically into nitrogen gas and others. In an oxidation tank 5, organic substances such as methanol which were added to the denitrification tank 4 and remaining in denitrification treated liquid are oxidized into carbon dioxide gas and others by methanol decomposing bacteria.</p> |
