PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and highly reliable structure for connecting to an operating part the actuation member of a wire cable whose end in particular is oriented in a predetermined direction, in an endoscope in which a portion consisting of an end portion, a curved portion, and a soft portion is removably coupled to the operating part via an attaching part. SOLUTION: A wire cable 29 has its basic end portion inverted by inversion guide wheels 28. The basic end portion of the wire cable 29 is connected to a driven shaft 27 and a drive shaft 35 on the side of an operating part 15 is coupled to the driven shaft 27 while abutting thereto by the coupling of a demountable part 14.
