PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent re-liquefaction of vaporized oil even under a condition that an air volume is high and re-liquefaction is apt to make. SOLUTION: In this combustion device, oil is vaporized by a vaporizer 20, air supplied from an air supply apparatus 30 is mixed in a mixing chamber 25 with the vaporized oil, and the air-fuel mixture is guided to a burner 24 to use the mixture for combustion. In this case, a controller is provided to effect control that when, during combustion operation, an air volume supplied to the mixing chamber 25 exceeds a specified reference value, a mixing chamber heater 26 to insulate heat for the mixing chamber 25 is held in an ON-state; and in a case of the air volume being below a reference value, a mixing chamber heater 26 is caused to effect ON and OFF operation in linkage with a vaporization heater 22, and during waiting for combustion, the mixing chamber heater 26 is caused to effect OFF-operation.
