PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an always stable transfer shape regardless of the characteristic of an adhesive with a transfer pin for adhering the adhesive to its front end surface and transferring the adhesive to a prescribed position by molding this front end face to a hollow annular shape and forming a slit down to a position beyond a depth at which the front end face sinks from the surface of the adhesive. SOLUTION: The transfer of the adhesive 15 is executed by first leveling off the adhesive 15 put into a tray 17 to a prescribed thickness and lowering the transfer pin 10 to sink its front end down to the prescribed depth. Next, the transfer pin 10 is moved and lowered to a substrate and the adhesive 15 sticking to the front end is transferred to the substrate. At this time, the front end of the transfer pin 10 is formed to a hollow part of a square annular shape and the slit 12 is formed at the front end at a length above the sinking depth in the adhesive 15. When the transfer pin 10 is sunk into the adhesive 15, air is introduced from the slit 12 into the hollow part to eliminate an atm. pressure difference and the adhesive 15 is parted by the slit 12, by which film breakage is obviated. As a result, the stable transfer is executed regardless of the characteristic of the adhesive 15.
