PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pipe which has such a superior heat transfer performance that the pipe can easily obtain a sufficiently high capillary pressure and can surely return a working liquid reliquefied in a condensing section to an evaporating section even when the pipe is used in a top heat mode. SOLUTION: A heat pipe 20 is provided with wicks 12 on the internal surface of a container 11 formed in a hollow flat plate-like shape. The wicks 12 are composed of foamed copper joined to the internal surfaces of a pair of walls 11a and 11b faced to each other in the thickness direction of the container 11. A plurality of projecting sections 21 for reinforcement protruded toward the other wall is formed on either one of the paired walls 11a and 11b and the front ends of the projecting sections 21 are joined to the other wall. |
