PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate a pit for setting a press machine, to easily execute the maintenance and the checking without damaging the rigidity of a bed and to enable preventing of damaging of the rigidity of a bolster by incorporating a hydraulic die cushion in the press machine into the bolster. SOLUTION: The bolster 6 is constituted with three parts of an upper bolster 61, intermediate bolster 62 and lower bolster 63. The hydraulic die cushion is arranged in the intermediate bolster 62. Plural vertical holes are bored in the intermediate bolster 62 and pistons 81 are incorporated in the vertical holes. At the time of rapidly supplying the hydraulic oil into the cylinders 82, the pistons 81 are raised and the cushion pins are rapidly raised. A die lifter 8 is inserted into a gap between the upper bolster 61 and the intermediate bolster 62 and the hydraulic oil is supplied into an oil passage 84, the upper bolster 61 is floated up. The die lifter 8 is inserted into a groove arranged between the upper bolster 61 and the intermediate bolster 62, and the upper bolster 61 is raised by working the piston 81 to execute the maintenance and the checking.
