PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact channel impedance element instead of a conventional capillary tube as the phase difference adjustment mechanism of an operation gas being incorporated into a pulse pipe refrigerating machine for miniaturizing the refrigerating machine. SOLUTION: In an orifice-type pulse pipe refrigerating machine consisting of a compressor 1, cold storage device 2, a pulse pipe 3, and a reservoir tank 4 that is connected to the high-temperature side pipe end of a pulse pipe as a phase difference adjustment mechanism for generating the phase difference between the pressure change and the volume flow-rate change of the operation gas via a channel impedance element, an eddy type element 8 is adopted, where the element 8 is composed of an eddy chamber in that the operation gas is emitted in a tangential direction from the outer periphery of the chamber and is turned in the chamber and then is discharged from an orifice being opened at the center.
