PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely improve installation support rigidity and strength of a fan shaft by arranging the fan shaft by, supporting to two points of a cylinder block and a chain cover, in a cooling fan which is arranged on the cylinder block and which is driven in association with rotation of a crankshaft. SOLUTION: A cooling fan 50 arranged on a position corresponding to a radiator of a cylinder block 4, has a fan drive 56 provided with an impeller part and an impeller side flange 54, and a fan shaft 58. The fan shaft 54 is arranged by supporting both ends thereof to two points of the cylinder block 4 and a chain cover 48. Namely, a block side supporting hole 62 is drilled on a side surface of the cylinder block 4, and a cover side supporting part 66 on which a shaft supporting hole 64 is drilled is annexed to the chain cover 48 arranged-on a position opposed to the block side supporting hole 62. The fan shaft 58 and a fan sprocket 68 which is integratedly connected to the same axial direction as the fan shaft 58, are supported to two points of the block side supporting hole 62 and the cover side supporting part 66.
