PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete repair work of a handrail in a day by carrying an inner deck, after it is removed, to a site separate from a job site, carried into the job site after a surface reprocessing treatment is performed, also in parallel to this operation performing surface treatment of an outer deck in the job site, and then performing mounting work of the inner deck. SOLUTION: In execution of a handrail, first an inner deck 6 is removed, it is carried to a site separate from a job site. And then, after applying a surface reprocessing treatment relating to the inner deck 6, it is again carried into the job site. On the other hand in a field, in parallel to a process from carrying out to the surface reprocessing treatment and carrying in of the inner deck 6, an outer deck 7, placed in a condition has removed a side member 4, is painted with metal use one coat paint. Thereafter, re-assembly of the inner deck 6 is performed by mounting the side member 4. Since the surface reprocess treatment is thus performed by carrying the inner deck 6 to the site separate from the job site also, and in parallel to this operation, surface painting treatment of the outer deck 7 is performed, repair work of the handrail in a passenger conveyer can be performed in a single day.
